Locally, globally, and in between: at Heartprint Threads, we take a humanitarian approach to business, and use the power of kindness to do our part in creating a better world, including giving back to local charities, and standing up for the rights of others.
The seeds of this idea were sown during years of wandering with just a backpack. Taylor, one of our co-founders, found solace and gratitude in travel—fostering an immense appreciation for the blessings of home and a deep connection to the diverse narratives of people encountered along the way.
Having been a tour guide in Central and South America, Taylor fell in love with the local culture and the exquisite artisan textiles that graced the lands. Each piece he brought back was a piece of a story, and this appreciation for local craftsmanship ignited a desire to provide greater opportunities for these talented artisans.
Our journey is a tale of symbiosis—between the beauty of world cultures and the passion to uplift artisans from economies facing challenges. This symbiosis led to the creation of Heartprint Threads (HpT).
We want to help share the art of the incredibly talented artisans and families we’ve been fortunate enough to meet while traveling. They have been perfecting their craft for generations, and we ensure they are treated fairly: to us that means they are treated with respect, we ensure they have safe working conditions, and we offer them appropriate compensation for their work. We are currently working on our Fair Trade Federation designation. This means more to us than a sticker stamped on our brand. This means that we take the livelihood and talent of makers into serious consideration when doing business with them. Currently we work with three families in Ecuador who we've come to appreciate as friends as well as business partners. We visit them annually, or more, to ensure their needs are met as well as enjoying the unique connections we've created together. Learn more about these lovely folks here.

We wholeheartedly embrace anti-racist principles and maintain unwavering support for anti-racist policies. Our commitment extends to standing in solidarity with Black People, Indigenous People, and People of Colour in their fight against systemic racism. We actively support the Black Lives Matter Movement, striving not only for hope but also taking tangible actions to create a more equitable future. Recognizing that learning about racism, rather than experiencing it, is a privilege, we are continuously engaged in active learning and listening. We understand that this is a lifelong movement, and we are steadfast in our dedication.
In addition, we proudly ally ourselves with the LGBTQIAPS2+ community. Our solidarity translates into standing up for LGBTQIAPS2+ rights and immersing ourselves in learning about their history, the challenges they face, and the victories they celebrate. We move forward with a collective aim—advancing towards a world where equality is a reality for all.

We believe in leaving fast fashion behind and we are dedicated to providing long lasting products that won’t go out of style or fall apart after normal use.
